Not that I really care, but who are you?
I guess I should start off with a little description about myself. Well, there's not much to say here. My name's Kyper. I play Quake 2 from time to time. You probably have seen me on the servers being my taciturn self. I started playing in either 2000 or 2001 on the MSN Gaming Zone under a different name. Good times...
I usually just play plain FFA, but if there are people playing on servers with mods, I won't hesitate to join up. I've tried AQ2, Jump, Lithium, CTF, RA2, and Giex. I'm not a good 1v1/TDM player I'm a pretty bad 1v1 and TDM player. I used to enjoy making an attempt to play it, and played a few matches even though I usually got my ass kicked. But now...I don't know. I know that when NADL1 started, I wasn't active at all. For some reason, I like dueling in a tourney 'setting.' Maybe it's 'cause I actually get to play different maps...
So, what can you expect from here? Well, I've been thinking about the lack of an NADL video, so I might mess around with Keygrip and create something that'll either be a decent showcase or at least prompt the more experienced people to make a better vid rather than keep the atrocity that would be my vid. Also, I've been thinking about creating a mod; well, it's more like fooling around with p_weapon.c. Even if I figure it out, it'll just be for personal use.
No, the only thing you'll most likely see here are lame rants and articles from my perspective as a Quake 2 player. Yup. Sucks, doesn't it? I doubt I'll have an audience, but if you're reading this, you'll probably wonder why I'd do such a thing. The answer would be that it's just therapy, I suppose. I like writing useless, incoherent drivel, but at least I won't force ya to read it. And I'm quite sure there are better writers out there as well with much more enlightened perspectives and insights *cough*dael*cough*GYN*cough*. So there!
